The trip starts and finishes in Sanur on the Island of Bali in Indonesia. Depart after 12pm on Sunday, November 30 to be a part of our farewell breakfast together.
Not at all! While this trip is thoughtfully designed to balance vacation, culture, adventure, and relaxation, all activities are optional. A local Balinese guide will accompany us to enrich your experience and provide insight along the way. Please note that no refunds will be given for missed activities, so we encourage you to join in as much as you can—you’ll likely surprise yourself with what you’re capable of!
If you have a dietary restriction, let Piper know when you register and she will work with you to develop a plan that meets your needs. Piper’s guidance and planning will help you navigate options—even with vegan or more restrictive diets. If you have questions before booking, you can schedule a free chat to discuss your situation.
Tap water in Bali is not considered safe for drinking, but don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. We’ll have clean, filtered drinking water available throughout the trip, and you’ll have easy access to safe water at all of our accommodations and group activities. We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to refill and stay hydrated in the tropical heat.
Our activities start between 8 and 9 a.m., with the exception of our sunrise hike, when we leave the hotel at 1:30 a.m. and have breakfast at the top of Mount Batur. All other days, we'll have breakfast at the hotels before departure for the day.
We’ll be staying in beautiful, traditional Balinese accommodations that offer the perfect mix of comfort and charm. Think lush gardens, tropical vibes, and peaceful spaces that let you truly unwind—some even have swimming pools for a midday dip. All of our hotels are 4- and 5-star quality, chosen for their thoughtful design, warm hospitality, and relaxing atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you’ll wake up feeling grounded and go to bed feeling spoiled.
If you're traveling with a friend or partner, just let us know when you register (or via email later) and we’ll be sure to room you together. If you're coming solo, we’ll pair you with a roommate of the same gender, and you’ll receive their info before the trip so you can connect ahead of time. Prefer your own space? Private rooms are available for an additional $500—just let us know, and we’ll send you a link to reserve yours.
Bali’s food is full of rich, vibrant flavors—think fragrant spices, grilled meats, fresh vegetables, and colorful tropical fruits. You’ll enjoy everything from traditional Balinese dishes to modern, healthy meals with fresh-pressed juices and smoothie bowls. Whether you’re adventurous or prefer to keep it simple, there’s something delicious for everyone. Most of our meals are shared experiences, giving you a taste of local culture and connection with the group.
Just a light daypack with essentials like water, snacks, and an extra layer. You will get daily updates on what to put in your pack.
Late November in Bali is warm, tropical, and humid, with daytime temperatures usually ranging from the high 70s to mid-80s °F (25–30°C). This time of year marks the start of the rainy season, so you can expect occasional short bursts of rain—usually in the late afternoon or evening—followed by sunshine. It’s the perfect weather for swimming, relaxing, and exploring, as long as you pack a light rain jacket and embrace the island’s lush, vibrant feel.
Piper will send you a detailed packing list so you’ll know exactly what to bring—from swimwear and sandals to comfortable clothes for temple visits, hikes, and beach days. The list also includes suggestions for optional items like a reusable water bottle, travel adapter, and small backpack for daily adventures. Bali’s tropical climate means light, breathable clothing is best, and don’t forget a rain jacket for the occasional afternoon shower. You’ll feel fully prepared and stress-free before you even leave home!

Additional Tips:
This retreat is intentionally limited to 15 travelers to keep the experience personal, connected, and community-focused. You’ll be joined by Piper, your leader and host, along with a trusted Indonesian guide who will share local history, culture, and insight throughout the journey. It’s the perfect size for making meaningful connections without feeling overwhelmed.
You're not alone—many travelers snore or use a CPAP machine, and we want everyone to sleep well. If you snore, consider using nasal strips, mouth tape, or sleeping on your side to minimize sound, and bring earplugs or noise-canceling headphones for yourself and your roommate. If you use a CPAP, rest assured that all accommodations have outlets; just be sure to bring a travel adapter. If you’re a very loud snorer or concerned about disturbing others, we recommend booking a private room or rooming with someone you know who’s already familiar with your snoring.
You will receive a link to pay the remainder, $3100 USD, due August 15, 2025.
