Piper Ruiz

Piper Ruiz is a seasoned professional in the international trail running, hiking, and race production industry, with over 15 years of experience managing and directing running events. Based in California, she is the founder of Run Your Life Corporation, where she leads global hiking and running adventures, mentors aspiring race directors and provides professional announcing for running events.

As a Global Event Director, Piper has orchestrated weeklong international running tours in destinations such as Patagonia, Iceland, New Zealand, Ireland, Costa Rica, Spain, Indonesia, and Japan, managing teams of professionals and ensuring exceptional client experiences.

She also spent 12 years as the owner of Pink Buffalo Racing, producing large-scale road and trail races across Oregon, earning grants, and developing innovative event series.

Her expertise extends to course design, event operations, team management and full scope event production.

Piper produced her own races in Oregon while providing race production services for over 600 events in 9 years. Specializing in race timing and announcing, she was a key figure in road races, trail events, ultra-marathons, and relays, ensuring seamless event execution and memorable experiences for participants.

She is a five-time Camino de Santiago hiker and an advocate for empowering others to explore the outdoors through running and hiking. She is a certified Wilderness First Responder, holds degrees in Spanish and theatre arts from the University of Oregon and she is a certified nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition.

She has been a Toastmaster since 2019 and has served as club president, VP of education and VP of public relations. When she’s not planning her next adventure, Piper enjoys playing pickleball, and mentoring others to achieve their goals both on and off the trail.
