Piper Ruiz

Piper Ruiz is a seasoned professional in the international trail running and race production industry, with over 13 years of experience managing and directing running events. Based in Sacramento, CA, she is the founder of Run Your Life Corporation, where she mentors aspiring race directors, teaches the Race Director Pro Masterclass, and leads global hiking and running adventures.

As the former Global Event Director for Vacation Races, Piper orchestrated weeklong international running tours in destinations such as Patagonia, Iceland, New Zealand, Ireland, Costa Rica, and Japan, managing teams of professionals and ensuring exceptional client experiences.

She also spent 11 years as the owner of Pink Buffalo Racing, producing large-scale road and trail races across Oregon, earning grants, and developing innovative event series.

Piper’s expertise extends to course design, event logistics, volunteer coordination, and community building.

Piper’s career spans 9 years with Eclectic Edge Racing, where she provided race production services for over 600 events. Specializing in race timing and announcing, she was a key figure in road races, trail events, ultra-marathons, and relays, ensuring seamless event execution and memorable experiences for participants.

She is a three-time Camino de Santiago trekker and an advocate for empowering others to explore the outdoors through running and hiking. She is wilderness first aid trained and a Spanish speaker.

When she’s not planning her next adventure, Piper enjoys CrossFit, playing pickleball, and mentoring others to achieve their goals both on and off the trail.
